Program Details: Bellevue University offers the Master of Science in Intelligence and Security Studies degree. Program Details: Michigan State University offers the Master of Science in Criminal Justice degree through the College of Social Science and the School of Criminal Justice. First offered in 1998, the Masters in Criminal Justice was the first online degree program offered by MSU. Master of Emergency and Crisis Management
Program Details: The University of Central Florida offers the Master of Emergency and Crisis Management through the College of Community Innovation and Education and the School of Public Administration. Designed to equip students for positions of leadership in the response and aid of both natural and manmade disasters, the program seeks to prepare highly trained practitioners in the field of Emergency and Crisis Management. Offered entirely online, the program follows the cohort model, in which students progress through the entire program as a group, and can be completed in as little as two years with full-time study. Program Details: Northeastern University offers the Master of Science in Security and Resilience Studies through the College of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Political Science. An emerging field of inquiry, the Security and Resilience Studies program focuses on “how global, national, and sub-national actors manage a range of chronic transnational challenges that can be destabilizing to societies such as terrorism, organized crime, weapons proliferation, cyber-attacks, bio-terrorism, climate change and catastrophic disasters, migration, and radicalization… [it] explores how strategic doctrines, organization processes, bureaucratic behaviors and security tools and tactics are adapting to these challenges by placing greater emphasis on resilience.” The program offers several elective theme options including administration, management, and policy; counterterrorism and conflict studies; cybersecurity policy, resilient cities; and criminal justice.
